Our Story

1982

Ministar, the first child model agency in Belgium, saw the light of day.

Created by Marie-France, Ministar took its place in the living room of the family house.

Her son Jean-François, a high school student, was already answering the phone when clients and models called.

1986

Ministar became a private family company.

1988

Jean-François graduated from university with a Master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing.

2000

Creation of LoonaStar, a “people” modeling agency dedicated to teenagers, actors and adult models.

2010

Jean-François, after 22 years in Advertising and Marketing agencies, has found his way back to castings and bookings to take up the family torch. This year is also marked by a new impetus with the development of the department of actors and other artists at LoonaStar. And this for both shooting and filming.

2012

Ministar celebrates its 30th anniversary with all the children (and parents!) of the agency.

2022

Ministar celebrates its 40th anniversary! We are proud of the thousands of Ministars who have followed us over these 4 decades. We are also taking steps to further increase our international presence.

A legal agreement between the agency and the parents frames our approach to protect the children, ensure their remuneration and defend their rights.

We also sometimes manage provision contracts for artists who perform live for a production house which, in turn, requires a passage through an agency. Case in which it is clear that we defend the interest of the artist for a lower agency commission.
